Cosmetic & Restorative Services

The majority of Dr. Cheng’s specialized training is in cosmetic dentistry: duplicating natural color in the mouth, shade selection, and communication with the technicians. She therefore has a thorough knowledge of how to enhance the overall appearance of the teeth and smile. She uses only the latest restorative materials, and she's taken the time to select the highest qualified technicians to ensure the use of top-quality, lifelike porcelain crowns, bridges and veneers.

• Tooth-Colored Fillings. These offer natural-looking restorations and increased durability. Plus, Dr. Cheng’s technique prevents sensitivity problems.
• Porcelain Veneers. These lifelike restorations improve the smile by changing the shape of the tooth.
• Whitening. We use a very new product: Opalescence^® Xtra^® Boost. This bleaching solution does not require a laser or light.
• All-Porcelain Crowns, Onlays and Inlays. Metal-free restoration results in a more pleasing appearance, without the gray shadow at the gum line.
• Dental Implants. For rehabilitation of lost teeth, these restore an amazing level of functionality and beauty that mimics natural teeth.
• Recontouring. This technique evens out uneven teeth and eliminates jagged edges.

Technology

Our dental care features advanced technology, including digital radiography and an intra-oral camera.

• Digital Imaging/Digital Radiography. This is a way for patients to preview the final results of an improved smile, including the shape and whitening of teeth, and the overall structure of the smile. The digital technology captures images with less radiation exposure than the traditional x-ray.
• Intra-Oral Camera. On the initial visit, every patient gets a 'tour' of their mouth via our intra-oral camera to see what’s going on inside. This visual communication is extremely valuable.
• Patient Comfort Measures.  For those who need extra help relaxing or removing anxiety, we offer nitrous gas.
• Preventive Care Services
• Dental Sealants. This is an important part of any treatment plan in order to prevent future decay.
• Patient Education. Dr. Cheng takes the time to demonstrate proper brushing techniques on a model in order to instruct proper dental-hygiene maintenance.
• Nightguards. We emphasize these as a means of preventing future wear and damage of the teeth.
• Mouthguards. These are valuable for preventing serious sporting injuries to the mouth and teeth.
• Other Preventive Care Services. Cleaning or hygiene, breath treatment, regular checkups, and snoreguards.
